Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, during the last day of his visit to Japan, on Tuesday addressed a Greek-Japanese business conference organized at offices of the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) in Tokyo, with the participation of Enterprise Greece, ANA reports.
“If you look at where Greece was five or ten years ago, it would be difficult to imagine that it is now among the foremost European countries in terms of growth rates, one of the countries that are on the front line in both the green and the digital transitions. And yet, this is what happened. It happened because we are steadfast in our pledge to deeply change the ‘fabric’ of the Greek economy, to make it more extrovert, more open to the world, to increase our exports as a percentage of GDP, and also to turn the country into an attractive destination for foreign direct investments.”
Furthermore, he stressed that Greece offers very interesting investment opportunities in all areas and a great many sectors, which are not restricted to tourism only but also in areas such as infrastructure, renewable energy sources, services, and sectors relating to the green and digital transitions.
