The historic bonds of friendship and cooperation between Greece and Ethiopia were reaffirmed during the meeting between the President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou and the President of Ethiopia Sahle-Work Zewde which took place at the presidential mansion, on Tuesday, ANA reports.
Sakellaropoulou stressed that there is a Greek community in Ethiopia that has had a dynamic presence for many decades, just as Ethiopians live in Greece. Thus, the diaspora serves as a bridge that strengthens the bonds of friendship between the countries and cooperation in many areas, especially in the field of culture.
Sahle-Work Zewde after thanking Sakellaropoulou for the warm welcome noted that she is in Greece on the occasion of the Women Political Leaders Summit taking place in Athens. Also and made a special reference to the close ties between the two countries.
