The Pieria Tourism Development and Tourism Organization (P.O.T.A.P.) is attempting to open up to the Turkish market by participating in the EMMIT exhibition in Istanbul.
The Organization’s representative, member of the Board of Directors of P.O.T.A.P. and Authorized Advisor for Alternative Forms of Tourism, Aphrodite Bellou, had meetings with Turkish tour operators, entrepreneurs and representatives of Tourist Associations, to whom she presented the dynamics and multiplicity of options that Pieria offers to visitors as a unique destination throughout the year. The presentation was supported by printed and digital material.
Mrs. Bellou, after the meetings, expressed her satisfaction with the positive response and interest of the majority of visitors and tourism market executives.
POTAP’s participation in the exhibition is a continuation of FAM TIP, which the Organization organized in collaboration with the GNTO Office in Istanbul in December 2024, with tourism influencers from the neighboring country, who were hosted, guided and informed about Pieria.
The Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition “EMMIT” is considered one of the five largest tourism exhibitions in the world. It is organized every year in Istanbul by the Turkish Hoteliers Federation, the Tourism Investors Association as well as Turkish bodies.
This year marked the 28th edition of the exhibition, which took place from 5 to February 2025.
This year’s “EMITT” emphasized improving sustainability practices, introducing innovative tourism products, and promoting partnerships that strengthen the relationship between society, nature, and industry. Approximately thirty thousand industry professionals and over three hundred tour operators from seventy-four countries participated during the three-day event.
