The 19th ‘Oniroupolis’ opened its doors on Sunday night at the central square of the northeastern Greek city of Drama to welcome children and adults to the magic Christmas village created by the organizers, ANA reports.
The Music School of Drama was responsible for the music on the opening night, accompanied by the “Pirouette” ballet school troupe of Elena and Konstantinos Nota and their performance, which was dedicated to the principal theme of Oniroupolis, world peace.
According to the organizers, more than 100 schools in Greece have expressed an interest in visiting the venue, while data from the travel agencies and the Drama hoteliers’ association show that Oniroupolis and the city of Drama are again one of the top destinations for the Christmas holidays.
Oniroupolis will host 14 concerts at its central stage, over 45 cultural events, five theatrical performances, and other social, sports and charity events.
Oniroupolis will be open until January 8, 2023. The opening hours are 10:00 to 17:00 until 22 December and from 10:00 to 22:00 from 24 December 2022 until 8 January 2023.
