The consortium Fraport AG-Pileas SA (Constantakopoulos Group)-Delta Airport Investments SA (Kopelouzos Group) is the preferred investor of the International Airport of Kalamata “Captain Vassilis Constantakopoulos”, Greece’s Superfund announced on Wednesday, ANA reports.
The 40-year concession foresees the management, development, and operation of the airport through a comprehensive investment plan that aims at the further upgrade and improvement of accessibility in the area.
According to the consortium, its goal is to develop a modern airport that can attract more flights, meet travelers’ needs, and improve the Peloponnese’s position in the global tourist market.
To that effect, it will pay out an initial amount of 45 million euros at the start of the concession, while total revenues for the Superfund during the 40-year contract duration are expected to come to 71.2 million euros (price and dividends). In addition, capital expenditures will reach 2.3 million euros, according to the investment plan that will be completed within the first three years of the concession.
