A high-level trade delegation from Israel paid a visit to Athens on Tuesday to explore further Greek-Israeli cooperation in trade, investments, and mutually beneficial consortia in technology, industry, energy, exports, pharmaceuticals, health services and agriculture.
According to a statement by the Embassy of Israel on social media on Wednesday, the delegation’s focus was to boost economic ties between the two countries and promote new opportunities for cooperation and mutually beneficial trade interests.
The delegation, which was hosted by the embassy and Ambassador Noam Katz, included representatives of various economic institutions of Israel. These were Yael Ravia-Zadok, deputy director-general and head of the Economic Diplomacy Division at the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Dr Ron Tomer Teitelbaum, president of the Manufacturers’ Association of Israel; Israela Stier Einstein, vice-president of the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce; and Nili Shalev, CEO of Israel Export Institute.
During their stay in Greece, the members of the delegation met with several high-level representatives of Greek ministries’ departments, including at the ministries of foreign affairs (economic affairs), development (trade), digital governance (telecoms and post offices), and health (strategic planning). They also included leading officials of the Trade and Industrial Chamber of Athens (EVEA), Enterprise Greece, Hellenic Federation of Enterprises, and the Hellenic Industrialists’ Association (EENE). The delegation was welcomed in Greece by Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis.
