Greek Rural Development and Food Minister Lefteris Avghenakis will visit Italy from 11 to 14 April to take part in a ministerial meeting on wine that will be held in Brescia with the participation of 32 countries, ANA reports.
The event is organized by the Italian Agriculture Ministry and the International Organisation of Vine and Wine.
The event will focus on the sustainability strategies of vine and wine, the consequences of the climate crisis, the quality production and the low environmental impact, the strengthening of the market with fresh grapes and other processed products, and above all the new balances that have been formed between supply and demand in the wine market.
According to a Rural Development and Food Ministry announcement, on Sunday Avghenakis will be in Verona to represent Greece, which is the honored country, at the opening ceremony of the greatest international exhibition of wines and spirits Vinitaly.
