Greece’s Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with a bipartisan delegation of the United States Congress on Friday, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference (MSC), ANA reports.
At the meeting in Munich, organized for a second consecutive year, the Greek premier exchanged views on international and regional issues, with an emphasis on the consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Views were also exchanged on the devastating earthquakes that hit Türkiye and Syria, with Mitsotakis stressing Greece’s immediate response with search and rescue teams and humanitarian aid – which will continue, sources said.
The congressional delegation, led by Senator Lindsey Graham, includes Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Robert Menendez, Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Sheldon Whitehouse, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Richard J. Durbin, and Senator Chris Van Hollen.
