The ‘household basket’ is continuing to perform well, Development and Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis said on Wednesday as he presented a new initiative called “Santa’s basket” concerning toys and an expansion of the ‘Christmas Basket” by adding new products for the Christmas dinner, ANA reports.
During the Christmas holidays, from December 14 to January 4, 2023, the Christmas basket will include turkeys, veal, chocolates, and traditional cakes but not the Christmas sweets ‘melomakarona’ and ‘kourabiedes’ to avoid unfair competition with bakeries.
The toys basket, he said, had been drawn up in collaboration with Greek toy makers and will include 10 categories of toys (baby and toddler, puzzles, dolls, soft toys, action figures, construction toys, toy cars, board games, and others) and will be in effect from 14 December 2022 until 11 January 2023.
