The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Google Greece signed a memorandum of cooperation on Tuesday to develop the skills of the academic community in the field of Artificial Intelligence, ANA reports.
University rector Gerasimos Siasos emphasized that this collaboration is set to bring transformative changes in education, research, and technology, noting that AI is no longer exclusive to scientists and researchers but impacts all aspects of life.
Siasos expressed confidence that the partnership will provide long-term benefits, significantly upgrading education and research in Greece. General Director of Google Southeast Europe Peggy Antonakou, highlighted AI as both a significant opportunity and a major responsibility.
