Hellenic Train announced changes to the Athens-Thessaloniki return route following the effects of the storm, with buses replacing segments of the line, ANA reports.
Specifically, Monday’s IC55 schedule from Thessaloniki to Athens will be entirely completed by buses. Also on Monday, the following train (IC57, Thessaloniki to Athens), will be completed as follows: the Thessaloniki-Larissa segment will be completed by buses. In contrast, the Larissa-Athens segment will be completed by train.
On Tuesday, all schedules between Athens and Thessaloniki will be carried out as follows:
– Thessaloniki-Larissa and Larissa-Thessaloniki by bus
– Larissa-Athens and Athens-Larissa by train.
