A bill drafted by the Greek Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs & Sports on the ratification of the Greece-Cyprus bilateral recognition of university degrees was approved by the Hellenic Parliament’s Standing Committee on Cultural & Educational Affairs on Wednesday, ANA reports.
The bill’s full title is ‘Mutual Academic Recognition of University Degrees of Higher Education Institutions & other Approved Institutions – Amendment of Annex I of the Agreement’.
Elaborating on the bill, Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis noted that the agreement between the two countries is based on two key facts: the close ties between Greece, and Cyprus, and their common language, and the large number of Greek and Cypriot students studying in either country’s institutions.
