Attica Region will support vulnerable and disadvantaged groups with targeted actions worth 640 billion euros up to 2027, Regional Governor Nikos Hardalias announced on Thursday, ANA reports.
In an address at the first annual conference of Greece’s Agency for Welfare Benefits and Social Solidarity (OPEKA), Hardalias said “The sensitivity of a state is reflected in its policies.” He noted that of the 640 billion euros, 410 billion will come from NSRF 2021-2027, 200 million from the EU’s Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD), and 30 million from Greece.
The program funded by FEAD 2021-2027 in particular, is particularly noted to “children of preschool and school age and their families, the unemployed, women, those over 65 years of age, people with disabilities, non-EU citizens, the homeless, and Roma,” Hardalias noted.
