The picture of the extension of the tourist season to Cyclades islands through air traffic is presented by MTC GROUP through the statistics announced by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority.
Specifically, in Santorini in October 2024, 293,428 were transported, in November 65,449 and in December 37,320. Mykonos comes second with 96,350 in October, 14,181 in November and 7740 in December. Paros is third with 30,182 in October, 11,665 in November and 8,823 in December. Naxos follows with 17,493 in October, 5,961 in November and 5,40 in December. Finally, Milos recorded 8,947 in October, 2,450 in November and 1,878 in December.
In total numbers for the last quarter of the year, Santorini had 396,247 passenger movements, Mykonos 118,271, Paros 50,670, Naxos 28,494 and Milos 13,275.
Especially in October, which is essentially the main objective of extending the tourist season, we find that Santorini is far ahead, followed by Mykonos, Paros, Naxos and Milos. It is characteristic that in the “twin” of Santorini-Mykonos there is more than a tripling of the traffic of Santorini compared to Mykonos, while in the corresponding one of Paros and Naxos there is almost a doubling of the first compared to the second. We also observe that even in November there is satisfactory traffic in Paros (11,665) with the corresponding one in Naxos being at 5961 passenger arrivals and departures.
