The 6th International Folklore Festival “FOLKWAY” was completed with absolute success, confirming once again that it is a cultural institution with international appeal.
A total of 11 dance groups with more than 300 dancers and artists from Latvia, Bulgaria, Cyprus and Greece participated in a feast of sounds and colors, giving unforgettable moments to residents and visitors.
On Friday, September 26, at Anopolis Cretan Nights, the great traditional feast took place with the participation of all the groups, who met with music and dances from all countries. On Saturday, September 27, the event was hosted in Episkopi, while on Sunday, September 28, in Limenas Hersonissos, where the performances sealed the event with great enthusiasm and impressive participation.
The groups remained in the area for at least five days, having the opportunity to experience the beauties of Crete through excursions and tours, while contributing to the strengthening of the local economy and the promotion of the Municipality of Hersonissos as a cultural and tourist destination.
